Family Portrait, Honolulu
Ink on paper

In this family portrait, my aunt Tamiko (Betty) and my father Robert sit in their living room in Honolulu. Grandma Mary and Grandpa Kenji are seated in the back. Grandpa Kenji's father, Tokuji had spent the entire war in an all male Department of Justice detention center in Santa Fe, NM.
Photograph circa 1956.
