About

I use the physicality of paint, color and gesture to create multi-layered lush landscape abstractions drawn from my observations and experiences in nature. Bridging the abstract and the realistic, this work describes a sublime floating world, simultaneously chaotic and unsettled, exalted and sublime. Traces of a human presence can be felt or implied, but these entities are never fully illustrated. What remains in the work is beauty, mystery and ambiguity. - Suzanne Onodera
